Under Omache's Eye

A lot has been going on in my life these last few weeks. I can't believe how busy I am, yet I'm still managing to fall behind in my classes. The last two weekends I spent at camp. On April 30th, I ran Cub Day at Camp. This was a short, six hour event for cub scouts. While I was there, I met Eric Holmquist, the Program Director for Camp Brinkley. He's a pretty nice guy and very knowledgeable in scouts, but is new to camp staff. During the weekend, Steve (the Reservation Director) and I also started getting contracts written up. Last weekend, I ran three events, back to back. To make matters worse, Steve wasn't there. I had and Leader's meeting for the Scoutmaster's who are coming up this summer. We were also running an Open House for any leaders who wanted to see what scout camp was like. We had the rifle range, the tower, and COPE open for this event. After that, I ran Staff Orientation. This is mainly for the new staffers and their parents to get a general idea of what staffing is like.

For everybody who didn't know, my adoption finally went through. I'm talking about me getting adopted by my stepfather, not me adopting a child. (eek!) So my name is now officially Christopher McNeal. So now I have to get a new driver's license, social security card, bank cards, I need to let the school know, and I need to let my work know. I also just got a notice in the mail for jury duty. It takes place the last week of classes, ugh! Rena has been gone since yesterday and won't be back until late tonight. She had to get her physical done with her doctor. I'm just getting mine done at the campus health clinic. We have to get these done while were still on our parent's health insurance, which leads me to the next part of the story:

We getting married in only one and a half weeks! I'm really excited. We had 130 people RSVP. We went through the list and think that about 30 more people will come than that. We were grossly incorrect when we were guessing the amount of people going to be at our wedding. We were thinking a little over 100. 120 max. I don't think there will be enough places for everybody to sit. I never realized that we were so popular. Anyways, that's about everything for now. Peace.
